Every product we recommend meets a strict set of criteria:
- Any maker, one quality bar - a lesser-known brand is as welcome as a big name, as long as the product holds a strong, well-reviewed record on Amazon, is in stock to buy, and its specifications fit what the guide is about
- Every link verified - each recommendation is checked against the live Amazon UK listing, so the link lands on the exact product we describe
- Real specs checked - wattage, port count, charging standards (GaN, PD, PPS) verified against manufacturer data
- Scored on our own rubric - every pick earns an SPP Score out of 10 from our published criteria (see how we choose and score), independent of anyone else's ratings
- Value at each tier - we pick a best overall, a best budget, and a best premium so there's a recommendation for every budget

Simple Product Picks is written and maintained by a UK-based tech enthusiast with years of hands-on experience across consumer tech, from PCs, phones and smart home kit to the charging and connectivity gear this site specialises in. That background matters here, because accessories are where the most confusing claims concentrate: chargers that claim 100W but only deliver it on one port, hubs that drop 4K to 30Hz, cables that quietly throttle charging speeds. Our goal is to cut through the noise.
The products in these guides are not bought and tested for the site unless a pick carries a Hands-on badge. How we stay up to date
